Mentorship Program

Now in its 8th year, this mentorship program offered by Working towards Inclusivity in Chemistry Toronto (WICTO) matches graduate student mentors with upper year undergraduate mentees. Please note that the WICTO Mentorship Program is open to all genders. Chemistry undergraduate students in their 3rd or 4th year of study will be prioritized in mentor/mentee pairings but undergraduates from all years are encouraged to apply. Students from all three campuses are welcome!

Graduate Mentors

This is a chance to develop your leadership and professional skills, gain experience in advising students interested in your field, and hone interpersonal skills vital to succeeding within and outside of graduate school. Be responsible for ensuring that people feel supported in pursuing careers in STEM.

Undergraduate Mentees

Learn from a diverse set of mentors about pursuing higher education in science and be exposed to a variety of role models who approach science in unique ways and can provide valuable perspectives. The various backgrounds of the mentors will help improve and promote inclusiveness in STEM culture and help you feel supported in pursuing a career in the field.
